Established in 1994 to promote the sport of triathlon in the Springfield area, the Springfield Ironhorse Triathlon Team is open to everyone, regardless of previous athletic or triathlon experience. The goals of the team as we envision them are: 1) To promote the sport of triathlon in Springfield and surrounding community. 2) To promote local triathlons (Iron Abe and Stoneman) by volunteering, participating, etc. 3) To encourage new athletes to enter the sport. 4) To provide a forum to share information and ideas about nutrition, training, racing, etc. 5) To have fun. |
